Excerpted from a February 26th Dallas News article, “Federal judge voids Texas’ gay marriage ban, though he delays order from taking effect immediately“:

“A federal judge in San Antonio ruled Wednesday that Texas’ ban on same-sex marriage unconstitutionally deprives some citizens of due process and equal protection under the law by stigmatizing their relationships and treating them differently from opposite-sex couples.

“U.S. District Judge Orlando Garcia cited recent U.S. Supreme Court rulings as having trumped Texas’ moves to ban gay marriage.”

Article 1, Section 32, of the Texas Constitution states:

“Sec. 32. MARRIAGE. (a) Marriage in this state shall consist only of the union of one man and one woman.
“(b) This state or a political subdivision of this state may not create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.
    “(Added Nov. 8, 2005.)”

Imprecatory prayers should be offered in Lutheran services every Sunday for God to strike down and crush Judge Orlando Garcia’s wicked and traitorous decision.
