Who won? Who lost? Five points on Vatican summit

  1. And so it ever is in Christendom, the tension of being a pastor and wanting the sin-sick to hear the Gospel and the duty to not sanction the sin as being righteous. We can and should be welcoming to those who suffer from the maladies of sin, but ever on guard to not take the step of changing what God has declared. Thus, we slog on with the mess that we have of our flocks and ourselves counting the blessings that they desire to be with us and are there to hear the proclamation of the Gospel, and pray and work towards the confession, absolution and amended life that we know it will bring some to in the end.
