Official notice: Election candidate changes

Since the publication of the Biographical Synopses & Statements of Nominees (BSSN) booklet that accompanied the 2019 Convention Workbook, a number of changes of which voting delegates should be aware have impacted the slates for election. These changes, with accompanying biographical information and personal statements, will be printed in Part B of the Sunday, July 21, 2019, Today’s Business (TB 2B).

In accordance with Bylaw 3.12.2.6 (a), President-elect Matthew C. Harrison has selected for the office of First Vice-President the following five nominees from the list of 20 generated through the nominating ballot process. These five names will constitute the ballot for First Vice-President, to be elected at the convention:

  • Christopher S. Esget
  • Peter K. Lange
  • Scott R. Murray
  • John C. Wille
  • John C. Wohlrabe Jr.

In addition, one of the candidates for Central Region Vice-President has taken a call outside the region. This created a vacancy on the ballot of five, which resulted in reopening the process of assigning nominees to the slate for this office, as reported below. Several other changes have been made to the slates of candidates developed by the Committee for Convention Nominations (CCN) and reported in the booklet, necessary as the committee responded to new information regarding candidates and elective positions.

Delegates should take note of the following change(s) and the biographical information and personal statements of the newly named candidates for the various position(s):
