Position: Director of research, assessment and academic programming

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL), is seeking candidates for the position of director of Research, Assessment and Academic Programming. The successful candidate should have at least five years of higher education experience (experience in curriculum and assessment preferred) and master- or doctoral-level study in a field directly related to seminary studies. Experience with the Higher Learning Commission and/or applicant tracking systems is preferred. A candidate who is qualified to teach at the seminary level should highlight qualifications and which courses could be taught.

The candidate who is an ordained pastor of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod or a partner church body is preferred. The successful candidate sees this role as an opportunity to serve the mission of CSL.

Responsibilities include conducting formal academic program reviews and assessments of student learning, ensuring that academic policies and processes are effective and serve both the institution and the students, and preparing and submitting the primary institutional-level data reports. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
