LYF chooses executive board

Young people from congregations with groups at this year’s LCMS youth gathering elected a new five-member executive board for Lutheran Youth Fellowship (LYF), the Synod’s youth organization, when they met as the LYF delegate assembly July 24 at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando.

Each Synod congregation with a group at the gathering was eligible to send one voting member to the assembly.

Elected to serve for the next three years were Judy Frahm, 16, Merritt Island, Fla., for the LYF East Coast Region; Adam Roth, 18, Eastpointe, Mich., Central Region; Lisa Steffens, 17, Jackson, Mo., Southern/Midwest; Dani Sedlmeyer, 17, Fargo, N.D., Upper Midwest; and Gustavo Onink, 17, Newbury Park, Calif., West Coast/Mountain.

The new LYF executive board members were installed July 28 at the youth gathering’s closing mass event.
