Beginning this month, a new Web page will feature a downloadable digest of the news from the current edition of Reporter.
The free digest, which is scheduled to be posted no later than the 12th day of each month, also will appear as the “National News” section of the following month’s edition of The Lutheran Witness. For the Reporter digest, which is available for downloading as a PDF file, go to http://www.lcms.org/reporterdigest.
“This new digest should appeal especially to pastors and others who would like to include shorter versions of national news and other items in congregational newsletters, to laypeople who do not receive the printed Reporter, and to those who want to read shorter versions of stories from the current Reporter,” said Rev. Tom Lapacka, executive director of the LCMS Board for Communication Services, which is responsible for Reporter and The Lutheran Witness.
Lapacka said congregations are free to copy the entire digest or individual articles for parish use, such as for inclusion in newsletters or as an insert in the Sunday bulletin.
