The Lutheran Education Association (LEA) is offering a new Web page where Lutheran educators may post their qualifications and look for employment opportunities. Lutheran schools, school associations, and congregations also may post position openings and seek qualified candidates to fill them.
The site, known as the Lutheran Educator Opportunity Center (LEOC), also may be accessed from LEA’s home page.
Use of LEOC is free for educators posting their qualifications. The cost of a one-year subscription for those listing available positions is based on the number of positions being listed.
“LEOC is not intended to bypass LCMS procedures for certified personnel,” says LEA’s announcement of the new service. “Rostered workers should first contact their district education executive. Candidates awaiting first placement from the Concordia University System may not use LEOC.”
Membership in LEA is not required for those using the service.
LEOC is made possible by a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
For more information, including subscription costs, see the LEOC Web site.
