Dean, School of Business. The dean is the academic officer of the School of Business with the responsibility for academic planning, budget management, curriculum development, course scheduling, instruction, evaluation and professional development of faculty and staff, and allocation of learning resources. The dean promotes and oversees the Dean’s Advisory Board, builds relationships with area businesses, and actively engages in fundraising for the school. Director of Nursing. The successful candidate will have an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field, with a master’s degree in nursing; a current RN license; administrative and teaching experience in higher education; and demonstrated leadership in curricular and faculty development. Expectations include the development of a new nursing program, culminating in State certification. In addition, the successful candidate will have the ability to identify and secure financial resources, recruit faculty, and develop partnerships with area clinics and hospitals for the support of the nursing program.
Art. Instruction of courses may include general education and foundation courses in the art major, including Elements of Art and Design. The candidate must possess the ability to integrate a strong sense of pedagogy and structure in the classroom as well as a desire to mentor students and assist with departmental tasks. Additional duties may include organization of student art exhibitions. Candidates should have an MFA with related teaching and artistic experience.
Business. Instruction of courses may include marketing, finance, accounting, and information technology. Teaching experience is required; experience in the business world a plus.
Communication. Instruction of courses may include but is not limited to public speaking, journalism, organizational communication, communication theory and/or criticism. Experience with and interest in directing a forensic program is preferred but is not required.
Education. Candidates will have experience in one or more of the following areas: educational administration, language acquisition, literacy, curriculum development and/or instructional methods. Experience as an elementary, middle school, or secondary classroom teacher or administrator is expected. Experience in highly diverse settings is a high priority.
Information Technology/Informatics. Instruction of courses includes but is not limited to Visual Basic Programming, Operating Systems: Windows and Linux (introductory to advanced), Computer Architecture (hardware), Principles of Networking, and Software Engineering.
