Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill., seeks applicants for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in early childhood education.  Rank commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Responsibilities include: teaching early childhood courses to pre-service undergraduate and graduate teacher candidates; teaching advanced courses at the master’s and doctoral levels; coordinating and creating related programs of study; academic advising and recruitment; providing service to the university through leadership in various capacities; and contributing to the field through scholarly publications and presentations.

Preference will go to applicants who hold or are near completion of an earned doctorate in early childhood education or closely related field; have taught at the post-secondary level; are certified early childhood teachers with at least five years of experience working with young children (birth to age 8) in school settings; and are familiar with the Illinois Learning Standards and current best practice for this age group.  Strong candidates will also have experience with accreditation procedures in higher education.  Applicants must have values congruent with the Lutheran church and a commitment to Lutheran education.

Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, Wis., seeks applicants for a full-time, 12-month renewable contract position for academic fieldwork coordinator in the School of Human Services, Occupational Therapy Department.  Anticipated start date is for the fall semester.

Qualifications: Candidates for this position must be registered occupational therapists with a master’s degree in OT or related field and eligible for licensure within the state of Wisconsin.  Preferred candidates will have a minimum of five years of clinical experience, as well as experience with being a clinical fieldwork coordinator or academic fieldwork coordinator.

Responsibilities: Coordination of all fieldwork placements for both level I and level II fieldwork.  Management of contracts for all fieldwork sites, as well as clinical visitation of students during their level II fieldwork placements.  Some teaching may be required.
