Most students in the Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology (EIIT) program have families to support, so they work full time while they are studying and serving their congregations.

But EIIT “is an outstanding program,” he said, that allowed him to take courses from home and continue serving his congregation, without having to quit his job with Houston’s Department of Transportation.
“It’s a program that will allow more men to become pastors, reaching out to their cultures,” he told Reporter.
All EIIT students receive financial assistance, according to Director Rev. John Loum, and additional funding would enable more men to enroll in the program, he said.
