Newsletter targets ministry with older adults

Research indicates that as older adults age, they actually feel progressively younger.

The first issue of a new electronic newsletter from LCMS District and Congregational Services — Family Ministry explores this phenomenon and what it means for ministry with older people in Synod congregations and their communities.

Titled Great Expectations, the new monthly electronic resource compiled by Dr. Vic Constien is available online on the Family Ministry Web site, www.lcms.org/family.  Scroll down the page until you see the Great Expectations title, then click on the title or “Read More” to view the newsletter, published monthly in Adobe PDF format.

To receive notification when new issues are available, subscribe to the Family Ministry newsletter on LCMS e-News at www.lcms.org/enews.  New subscribers will enter their e-mail address and select a password, while current subscribers will log-in to their account.  Click on “View or Modify my Newsletters,” then “Edit my Newsletters,” and click on the Family Ministry folder.  Select “Full Text” or “Weekly Summary” format, then click “Update” at the bottom of the page.

Congregations and church professionals may reproduce the Great Expectations newsletter for use in their ministries, if they credit the source.
