Under the theme, “Inviting Conversations — Empowering Words,” from John 17:20, delegates to the district’s 42nd convention voted to:
ask congregations to pray corporately and regularly for their communities, the lost, our missionaries, and the harvest.
encourage congregations to continue offering adult instruction classes.
thank, affirm, and support the district’s “Covenant Congregations” — congregations that have pledged to start new congregations.
encourage congregations to conduct one or more evangelism training events per year.
encourage congregations with schools to be intentional in reaching unchurched families.
affirm the sanctity of human life.
encourage the 2010 LCMS convention to give careful consideration to the proposals and report of the Blue Ribbon Task Force on Synod Structure and Governance.
