Registration is open for the 2015 Lutherans For Life (LFL) National Conference — set for Oct. 30-31 in Petersburg, Ky., under the theme “Created, Redeemed, Called” (from Is. 43:1).
The conference will begin at 5 p.m. on Oct. 30 with the opening worship service.
Conference-session topics will include:
- “The Gospel in Genesis,” with Ken Ham, president/CEO and founder of Answers in Genesis, which operates the Creation Museum in Petersburg;
- “Fearfully and Wonderfully Made,” with Dr. David Menton of Petersburg, who is a former professor at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis;
- “Evolution vs. the Sanctity of Human Life,” with Col. John Eidsmoe, professor of Law at the Oak Brook College of Law and Government Policy;
- “Faith in the Halls of Power,” with Timothy Goeglein, vice-president for External Relations at Focus on the Family, Washington, D.C.;
- a “Creation Concert,” with singer/songwriter Buddy Davis; and
- “Created, Redeemed, Called — The Trinitarian Value of Human Life,” with Lamb.
During the two-day event, attendees also will have the opportunity to learn about the future of the organization and hear from the Rev. Michael Salemink, LFL’s incoming executive director.
The following pre-conference activities on Oct. 30 also are planned:
- a tour of the Creation Museum (also available Oct. 31);
- a seminar on Christian estate planning with John Hawkins of Cedar Park, Texas; and
- a seminar on “life teams” with Lori Trinche of Burr Ridge, Ill.
Until Sept. 15, conference registration is $100 for individuals, $50 for students and $35 for children ages 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free.
Registration includes admission to the Creation Museum.
Lodging is available at the Cincinnati Airport Marriott in Hebron, Ky., for $95, plus tax, per night. Conference attendees must make their own room reservations.
