August’s ‘Witness’ focuses on Life Together

Readers of the August The Lutheran Witness will learn just what the Psalms mean when they note that “God settles the solitary in a home” (Ps. 68:6) and by extension, a family and a church family.

in-lw-INIn this issue, readers can rejoice in joy and comfort that Christians share as the body of Christ, gathered together around His Word and Sacraments.

Readers will laugh along with one pastor as he humorously describes his foray into the strange world of interacting with others in the narthex after church. They will hear from another pastor about how Christians interact and care for one another and then discover how prayer and closed Communion bind people together who make the same confession of faith.

Subscribers can also discover how Lutherans joined together to complete the work of the Synod in convention in Milwaukee.
