‘Joy:fully Serving’ our neighbors in Florida

On Saturday, July 20, as the 67th Regular Convention of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) was about to commence in Tampa, Fla., volunteers packaged 275 baskets of items for area mothers and their babies.

The servant event, “Joy:fully Lutheran,” was planned months in advance and open to the first 100 registrants.

The baskets will be distributed by:

  • Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries in Sanford, Fla., which operates a maternity home and transitional living for pregnant women and their children; and
  • Amigos en Cristo in Immokalee, Fla., which provides social services to its largely migrant and immigrant community, many of whom are in crisis and need assistance to build a solid foundation for a better future.

Redeeming Life Outreach Ministries and Amigos en Cristo are LCMS Recognized Service Organizations in Florida.
