Campus ministry staff to gather in May

Registration is now open for the LCMS U Campus Ministry Staff Conference, set for May 29–30 at Luther Memorial Chapel in Shorewood, Wis. The conference theme is “Live Not By Lies,” with an emphasis on Christian identity and image. 

Speakers include:

  • Rev. Dr. Peter Scaer, professor of exegetical theology at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne;
  • Dr. Stephen M. Saunders, an LCMS layman and chair of the psychology department at Marquette University, Milwaukee;
  • Rev. David Kind, pastor of University Lutheran Chapel, Minneapolis;
  • Rev. Dr. Jason Lane, associate professor of theology at Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW), Mequon, Wis.;  
  • Rev. Dr. Brian German, chair, CUW theology department; and
  • Rev. Michael Larson, pastor of Luther Memorial Chapel.

The conference is designed for pastors, DCEs, deaconesses and others in The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) who are leading campus ministries. Its purpose is to facilitate networking and sharing of ideas among campus ministry leaders and to provide theological education along with opportunities for discussion. 

There is no fee to attend. Complimentary single-occupancy hotel rooms at the Holiday Inn Milwaukee Riverfront are available for the night of May 29 on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional nights can be added at your expense.
