Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL), seeks candidates for a faculty position in the area of Historical Theology. The successful candidate should have a terminal degree in Historical Theology, experience in teaching Historical Theology, and publications related to Historical Theology.    

The candidate must be an ordained pastor of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod or a partner church body and must have served in a congregational setting for at least five years. He will demonstrate a strong commitment to the Scriptures as the inspired, written Word of God and the Lutheran Confessions as a correct exposition of the Scriptures. The successful candidate will be solid in his Lutheran understanding of Historical Theology and in his ability to apply Historical Theology to the life of the church.

Responsibilities include teaching courses in Historical Theology in both online and residential instruction, teaching and advising graduate students of both the Ph.D. and D.Min. programs, and contributing to the ongoing study of Historical Theology in the Lutheran tradition. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
