Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL), seeks candidates for a faculty position in New Testament. The successful candidate should have a terminal degree in New Testament, experience in teaching New Testament using Greek, and publications related to New Testament.
The candidate must be an ordained pastor of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) or a partner church body and must have served in a congregational setting for at least five years. He must demonstrate a strong commitment to the Scriptures as the inspired, written Word of God and the Lutheran Confessions as a correct exposition of the Scriptures. The successful candidate will be solid in his Lutheran understanding of biblical interpretation and in his ability to apply biblical teaching through Word and Sacrament ministry.
Responsibilities include teaching courses in Greek and New Testament in both online and residential instruction, teaching and advising graduate students of both the Ph.D. and D.Min. programs, and contributing to the ongoing study of the New Testament in the LCMS and beyond. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
