Concordia Seminary, St. Louis (CSL), seeks candidates for a faculty position in the area of evangelism. This faculty member will serve as the director of Evangelism Formation and the assistant director of Vicarage and Internships. The successful candidate should have significant experience in some area of evangelistic outreach and should have a terminal degree or plan to complete one.
The candidate must be an ordained pastor of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod or a partner church body and must have served in a congregational setting for at least five years. He will demonstrate a strong commitment to the Scriptures as the inspired, written Word of God and to the Lutheran Confessions as a correct exposition of the Scriptures. The successful candidate will be solid in his Lutheran understanding of biblical interpretation and in his ability to apply biblical teaching through Word and Sacrament ministry.
Responsibilities include teaching courses on evangelistic outreach, preparing students to engage in evangelistic outreach, and working with vicars and deaconess interns in the Ethnic Immigrant Institute of Theology program and vicars in the Cross-cultural Ministry Center program. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
