St. Louis seminary offers free `Bach at sem` concerts

Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is beginning its 14th season of “Bach at the Sem” concerts featuring presentations of J.S. Bach’s music by The American Kantorei under the direction of Robert Bergt.

The concerts are free and open to the public, and all but one will be held in the seminary’s Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus.

Upcoming performances for the 2005-06 season are scheduled for Nov. 27, Jan. 22, Feb. 19, and April 2, 9, and 18.

The American Kantorei is a choral and orchestral ensemble dedicated to church music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Neoclassical periods.  The works of J.S. Bach form the core of its repertoire.
