Position

Oakwood Lutheran Homes Association, Inc., a Christian retirement community with two campuses serving 950-plus residents (independent living, supportive living, skilled nursing and community-based programs) in Madison, Wis., seeks a full-time director of pastoral care
 
Responsibilities include: provide pastoral care services for residents; plan and conduct worship services; provide religious educational opportunities; supervise outreach and expressive arts programs; foster partnerships in ministry with community pastors, priests and rabbis.  Director also serves as a member of senior management.
 
Qualifications include: ability to reflect and articulate theological issues; counsel and relate well with residents and families; and have knowledge and competence in gerontology and ethical issues in aging.  A candidate must be an ordained Lutheran pastor, have a minimum seven years experience, have completed four units of CPE or a Doctor of Ministry with studies related to long-term care, and provide ecclesiastical endorsement by the representative church body.
