ST. LOUIS — Delegates to the 62nd Regular Convention of the The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, meeting here July 10-15, passed a resolution today (July 13) that thanks God for resources and help in the aftermath of the terror attacks on Sept. 11, 2001.
“People were in great need of the comfort of God’s love proclaimed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” the resolution notes.
The action commends “those members who exhibited a dedication to churchmanship, patience and love …” and thanks God for members of the Synod “… who offered ministry in word and deed in bringing the wonderful message of God’s love to fellow members of the LCMS as well as the communities in the United States of America.”
