Dr. David C. Jacobson, provost at Concordia College, Bronxville, N.Y., since 2000, died Dec. 5 at a Valhalla, N.Y., hospital of complications from pancreatic cancer.
A memorial service was held Dec. 11 at the college.

A 1971 graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Jacobson earned a master’s degree from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., and a doctorate from the State University of New York, Stony Brook.
Among survivors are his wife, Kathryn, of Tuckahoe, N.Y.; and two daughters — Kristin, Chicago, Ill., and Karen, Portland, Ore.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Jacobson Endowment Fund, Concordia College, 171 White Plains Road, Bronxville, NY 10708.
