'Harvesters' training set for May

A training event to prepare workers for Harvesters for Christ is set for May 13-16 in St. Louis.

Rev. Al Tormoehlen, director of the outreach program, said that Harvesters for Christ volunteers “have a passion for the lost and are available for at least one three- or four-week period to partner with congregations to reach people for the Lord’s kingdom.”

Tormoehlen explained that although Harvesters are not reimbursed for their service, the congregations they serve assume the costs of their travel, meals and lodging.

For a training-event application form or for more information, including fees, contact Tormoehlen at LCMS District and Congregational Services, 1333 S. Kirkwood Road, St. Louis, MO 63122-7295; (800) 248-1930, Ext. 1287; al.tormoehlen@lcms.org
