- assistant/associate professor of education. This tenure-track, full-time position will support the work of the Department of Leadership in the College of Education. In addition to teaching graduate students in the master’s and doctoral programs, the professor will have responsibility for advising master’s degree candidates, serving on doctoral committees, conducting primary research initiatives and providing service to the professional community. The candidate may be considered for the position of chairperson of the Department of Leadership.
Qualifications include a terminal degree, experience beyond the school building in a leadership role, willingness to conduct academic research and professional service and a commitment to Lutheran education and values congruent with the Lutheran church. Experience as a superintendent of schools, university teaching experience and a terminal degree with a concentration in educational leadership is optimal.
