Why I Am a Lutheran: Jesus at the Center, written by Synod First Vice President Daniel Preus, is now available from Concordia Publishing House.
Rather than provide an exposition of the Christian Church and Lutheran teachings, Preus wrote
In the book, Preus addresses topics such as sin and grace, Law and Gospel, the person and work of Jesus Christ, worship, the sacraments, and the office of the ministry. Luther’s Small Catechism is included in an appendix as a reference for readers who seek “a concise, biblical and ageless explanation of the basic truths of Christianity,” Preus writes in the book’s Preface.
