International Student Ministry Inc. (ISM), an LCMS mission society, is sponsoring an “enabling and equipping” conference May 26-29 at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
The conference is designed for those who reach out to international students on U.S. college campuses, and for those who are interested in beginning such a ministry.
Keynote speaker will be Dr. Harry Wendt, founder and president of Crossways International, a Minneapolis-based ministry that promotes Bible study worldwide. Rev. David Susan, pastor of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Madison, will lead Bible studies.
The conference also will offer a number of workshops on topics including starting an international-student ministry, recruiting and training volunteers, teaching English and Bible classes, leading small-group ministries, designing a public-relations program, and raising funds.
Registration is $50 and includes on-campus lodging and most meals. For more information or to register, visit the ISM Web site at www.isminc.org. Or, contact the ISM office at (715) 677-4877 or isminc@isminc.org.
