CTCR report addresses human embryos

“Christian Faith and Human Beginnings,” a report concluding that human embryos, beginning with conception, are the unfolding of a unique human life, was adopted by the Commission on Theology and Church Relations at its meeting Sept. 22-25 in St. Louis.

Including descriptions of the scientific practice of in-vitro fertilization, embryonic stem cell research, and cloning, the report offers Christian guidance concerning protection of pre-implantation embryos.  It will be ready for distribution to congregations by the end of this year.

More details about the report will be included in the November Reporter.
