Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Mich., is seeking to fill a faculty position in the School of Education.  Qualified candidates must possess an earned doctorate with expertise in one of the following areas: curriculum and instruction, administration and leadership, or educational assessment.  A candidate with a master’s degree who is willing and able to pursue a doctorate may be considered.  A candidate should be an LCMS commissioned teacher, be a member of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod, and have at least three years of successful teaching experience in an elementary or secondary school setting.

Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and serving as a program coordinator.  In addition, the person will participate in academic advising, committee work, and should actively participate in service and community activities and possess a commitment to the mission of the university.

Concordia University, Ann Arbor, Mich., is seeking to fill a faculty position in the Church Music Program.  In addition to courses in church music, this individual would teach studio organ and serve as university organist.  Other responsibilities may include music history, music theory, music technology, or an interdisciplinary course.  Responsibilities include teaching load as assigned by the division chair, academic advising, and committee work.  Active involvement in the recruitment of students for the church music program is expected.

Skills required:  Applicants should have a strong Christian commitment to the CUAA mission and should demonstrate the ability to integrate faith and learning in their teaching, possess knowledge of the history and theology of music in Lutheran worship, and have experience with the current range of worship practices within LCMS congregations.  Experience in ministry and strong graduate studies, preferably at the doctoral level, are desirable.  A candidate must have a terminal degree in church music or organ performance with demonstrated excellence in parish music and/or collegiate teaching.  A minimum of a master’s degree is required.

Concordia University, St. Paul, Minn., is seeking to fill the position of vice president for University Advancement.  This person is responsible for the overall vision, supervision, planning and implementation of the areas of development, alumni relations, and government relations for the university.

Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon, Wis., seeks applicants for full-time faculty for the 2006-2007 academic year in the disciplines listed below.  These candidates must be committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching within a Lutheran Christian university setting and must strongly support the mission of Concordia University Wisconsin.  A doctoral degree is normally required, but a candidate with a master’s degree who is willing and able to pursue a doctorate may be considered.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Chemistry.  This position is in the Department of Natural Sciences in the School of Arts and Sciences.  A doctorate in a field of chemistry is preferred, but highly qualified applicants possessing significant progress (ABD) toward a doctorate will be considered.  Teaching responsibilities include the two-semester general (inorganic) chemistry and the two-semester organic chemistry course sequences for science majors, plus analytical chemistry (for chemistry minors).  Additional responsibilities include maintaining the chemical stockroom and monitoring departmental hazardous waste.
