All LCMS congregations should have received in recent weeks promotional materials from the Synod’s two seminaries in St. Louis and Fort Wayne.
Each seminary has produced its own undated materials to give congregations an opportunity to emphasize the pastoral ministry and to assist in preparing future pastors. Those materials include special bulletin inserts, Bible studies, sermon notes, videos, envelopes, admission packets, and other worship resources and information.
Materials from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, mailed in April, focus on “Concordia Seminary Sunday.” The suggested date for that observance is June 12. Or, congregations may choose an alternate date.
Concordia Theological Seminary (CTS), Fort Wayne, encourages each congregation to choose its own date for “Prayerfully Consider,” an observance that asks congregations to “prayerfully consider” supporting CTS students and asks individuals to “prayerfully consider” attending the seminary.
