Concordia Seminary hosts photo exhibition

“Confessions,” a photography exhibition by Gina Edwards, will be on display in the Library Art Gallery of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, through May 19.

The exhibition of blapraying hands photock-and-white photography explores the fundamental beliefs of Lutheran doctrine.  The exhibit features three cohesive but distinct bodies of work — “Justified,” “By Grace,” and “Through Faith.”

Edwards studied photography, art, and speech communication at Black Hills State University, Spearfish, S.D., and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in 2005.  She was employed as the school’s student photographer, and her work has been published in various campus and local publications in the Black Hills area.  She currently serves the seminary as communications assistant, while her husband, Luke, is a first-year seminary student.

The Concordia Seminary library is open seven days a week — Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Saturday from 1-5 p.m.; and Sunday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.  There is no charge to view the “Confessions” exhibition.  For more information, call (314) 505-7030.
