Free `e-newsletter` targets church workers

The Synod’s Commission on Ministerial Growth and Support (CMGS) has launched an “e-newsletter” that is distributed free via e-mail to those who request it.

Issued twice a month, “Focus on Workers of the Church” is designed to “renew and exhilarate” pastors, teachers, and other LCMS professional workers.

Each issue includes an “encouraging” Scripture quote and articles of interest to church workers.  Recent issues carried information about debt — and how to determine if your current debt is “too much,” tips for strengthening your “new self,” the value of staff meetings, and why congregations are “in the relationship business.”

The e-newsletter also links subscribers electronically to the CMGS Web site at http://cmgs.lcms.org.

To subscribe to “Focus on Workers of the Church” — or any of more than 30 other LCMS e-newsletters, including “LCMSNews” — visit http://www.lcms.org/enews/ and follow the instructions to register and select newsletters (the CMGS newsletter is found in the “Education and Schools” folder).

For more information, contact the CMGS office at (314) 996-1279 or judy.voelz@lcms.org.
