Kintz has been with the publishing house for more than seven years, serving as vice president and chief operating officer for the past five. Prior to joining CPH in 1999, Kintz spent 12 years at McDonnell Douglas/Boeing in Canada and the United States.
Kintz succeeds Rev. Paul T. McCain, who has served as interim president and CEO since Dr. Stephen Carter retired in January 2002. McCain will continue serving CPH as executive director of the editorial division and publisher.

The board also acknowledged, with thanks, the leadership of McCain, he added.
In a related move, the board appointed Jonathan D. Schultz as CPH vice president and corporate counsel. Schultz has been with CPH for more than eight years as in-house counsel. For the past five years he also has had responsibility for the human resources department.
Before joining CPH, Schultz served two years as a missionary to Guatemala, and prior to that was an attorney with a Chicago law firm.
