LIMM to host forum on medical missions

Lutherans in Medical Missions (LIMM) will host its Third Annual Needs and Resources Forum March 30-31 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Louis.

Theme of the forum will be “Medical Missions: Acts of Mercy and Healing — Gifts in Our Lord’s Name.”

The event is designed for medical and church professionals and anyone with an interest in medical mission work.

Congregational leaders and health professionals from Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas will present case studies of their work in partnership with LCMS World Mission, LCMS World Relief/Human Care, MOST Ministries, Heart for Honduras, and CALMS (Central American Lutheran Mission Society).

Bible studies and devotions will be led by Bishop Andrew Elisa of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sudan, and the Saturday night banquet will feature Rev. Alan Abel of Big Spring, Texas, a physician and former missionary to the Philippines.

Registration is $100 before Dec. 15, or $125 after that date, and includes two meals.  Also included is a reception hosted by LCMS World Mission and a lunch hosted by LCMS World Relief/Human Care.
