Maier to take part in `Da Vinci Code` seminar

LCMS Second Vice President Dr. Paul L. Maier is one of four speakers to be featured in “The Da Vinci Code Evangelism Training,” a 90-minute video seminar to be broadcast via satellite March 28 and April 28 by the Church Communication Network (CCN).

Maier is co-author of the 2004 book, The Da Vinci Code: Fact or Fiction?, and is professor of ancient history at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo.

The CCN seminar promises viewers “answers to crucial questions raised by the movie” and “strategies for using The Da Vinci Code phenomenon to communicate the authentic Gospel.”  It is designed to equip congregations with tools to launch outreach campaigns in their communities.

Launched in 1998, CCN offers programming on a variety of ministry areas and resources for pastors and congregations.  Video training sessions are interactive, and presenters are available to answer questions sent by viewers via e-mail, fax, or phone during the broadcasts.
