Mission society seeks cyclists for fund-raiser

Registration is open for “Biking Across Kansas,” an annual weeklong recreational rally for cyclists.  The Children’s Christian Concern Society (CCCS) is asking for volunteers to take part in the rally to raise funds for its ministry.  The bike trek is scheduled for June 10-17.

Twenty cyclists representing CCCS took part in last year’s event, raising more than $25,000 for the society.  The CCCS, a Recognized Service Organization of the Synod, provides Christian education for more than 11,000 children in 14 countries.

Volunteers can take part in “Biking Across Kansas” for one day, or any number of days, and non-riders may send in pledges to support those who are cycling.  The rally begins at the Kansas-Colorado border and ends in Mulberry, Kan., at the Missouri state line.
