Need more information about `Consecrated Stewards`?

Growing stewardship is a growing interest, judging from the response to the November Reporter story about the new Consecrated Stewards emphasis developed by the Lutheran Church Extension Fund’s (LCEF) Capital Funding Services.

Pastors seeking more Consecrated Stewards information can directly contact LCEF-certified Consecrated Stewards “guest leaders” in their districts.  Twenty-eight of the Synod’s 35 districts have trained leaders to coordinate the four-week, low-key, biblically based emphasis that is generating both spiritual and financial results in participating congregations.

District coordinators for the Consecrated Stewards program provide guest leader contact information which is listed at www.lcef.org.  Pastors in districts with no guest leader can contact LCEF at (800) 843-5233 or send an e-mail to diane.heagney@lcef.org.

Two more guest leader training sessions are scheduled for 2007.  Pastors (both active and retired) and laypeople are invited to attend sessions on Jan. 16-17 in St. Louis or March 6-7 at the LCMS Ohio District office in Olmsted Falls.

For more information about the sessions, contact LCEF at the phone number or e-mail address listed above.
