The Synod’s two seminaries are offering a total of 29 workshops and courses this summer at off-campus locations nationwide.
Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, is sponsoring a dozen workshops for pastors, professional church workers, and interested lay people:

- “The Book of Revelation and the End Times,” July 10-12 in Phoenix.
- “Incense Rising and Screens Descending: How Do We Worship God in the 21st Century?,” July 24-26 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
- “Why Some and Not Others? The Canon of the New Testament in Historical and Theological Perspective,” July 24-26 in Portland, Ore., and Aug. 7-9 in Seymour, Ind.
- “When Things Fall Apart,” July 31-Aug. 2 in Colorado Springs, Colo.
- “Two Kinds of Righteousness: A Better Paradigm than Law and Gospel,” Aug. 7-9 in Cedar Crest, N.M.
- “Restore the Roar: Studies in the Book of Amos,” Aug. 7-9 in Cleveland.
- “The Johannine Epistles and the Apostle of Love,” Aug. 14-16 in Tryon, N.C.
- “The Uniqueness of Christ in a Pluralistic Culture: Through Lutheran Eyes,” Aug. 21-23 in Wichita, Kan.

Tuition for each four- to five-day course is $225 for ordained pastors and professional church workers, and $85 for retired pastors and laypeople. Tuition for each three-day course is $150 for pastors and professional church workers, and $75 for retired pastors and laypeople. Students and vicars may attend free. Continuing Education Units are available.
