Rev. Alan Erdman, president and chief executive officer of Lutheran Family and Children’s Services of Missouri (LFCS), was named a recipient of a Common Chest award presented by LCMS World Relief and Human Care to partners for their outstanding and faithful service.
Erdman and LFCS collaborated with the Synod’s mercy arm to develop the “Get Real with Yourself” campaign, an online resource that leads pregnant young people to caring support and positive choices for a healthy pregnancy, birth, and parenting options.
The Common Chest awards were presented at the LCMS Conference on Mercy, April 30-May 2, in St. Louis. Erdman’s name was omitted from the list of honorees published in the June Reporter.
