LHM launches radio program for women

The first broadcast of “Life … revised,” a new 30-minute, weekly women’s radio program from Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM), took place this month on more than 160 stations in North America.

Targeted to women ages 24 to 49, the program is designed to appeal to both Christian and “unchurched” women's radiolisteners by sharing healthy ways to deal with challenges women face in today’s world.

Co-hosting the program are Dr. Mark Hannemann, an LCMS pastor, mental-health practitioner, and director of a Christian counseling center, and Michelle Bauer, a media professional and mother of three.

“Life … revised” is designed to remind listeners that life is a series of “revisions,” and that “there is hope for the future no matter what happened in the past,” according to LHM.

Recent programs addressed “How not to be an over-protective parent,” “Igniting the intimacy in your marriage,” and “Getting or staying out of debt.”

Upcoming programs will discuss weight loss, communicating with children, time management, addictions, living healthy, and caring for aging parents.

In the St. Louis area, the program may be heard on KFUO-AM Radio 850 at 9:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. Saturdays.  Days and times in other cities vary.  To find local broadcast times, visit the program’s Web site at www.liferevised.com (click “Where to Listen”).

Also available on the Web site are audio files of previous programs, downloadable articles on topics of interest, and promotional materials that can be used in congregations to let members know about the new program.
