A Place of Refuge Ministries of South Wisconsin (APOR) seeks applications to fill the position of house parent for Refuge House, APOR’s residential facility in Milwaukee, Wis. As an LCMS Recognized Service Organization, A Place of Refuge exists to aid mothers in choosing to give life to their unborn babies. The position of house parent is designed for someone, perhaps a deaconess, with a heart for human care and spiritual growth.
Qualified candidates will be patient, understanding, kind-hearted, able to work with birthmothers and share the faith with them, and resourceful, energetic, flexible, and organized.
