LCMS World Mission is hosting two tours this year to give participants a firsthand look at outreach being carried out by the Synod overseas.
A May 22-June 4 tour of Russia and the Baltic countries of Latvia and Lithuania will provide the opportunity to meet with LCMS missionaries and Lutherans from LCMS partner churches. Participants will learn about opportunities and see how God is using Lutherans there to proclaim the Gospel in a region once closed to Christianity.
This fall, from Sept. 27 to Oct. 9, the second tour will visit China, Hong Kong, and Macau, with an optional extension to Vietnam.
Both tours will be hosted by Dr. Robert Roegner, executive director of LCMS World Mission, and staff who live in the region. LCMS First Vice President William Diekelman also will co-host the tour to Russia and the Baltics.
The Russia tour has a Feb. 14 deadline for reserving space. Information on that tour only is available online at www.gtd.org/post/pdfbrochure/070502.pdf.
Information on either tour also is available by sending an e-mail to mission.info@lcms.org or by calling (800) 433-3954.
