Church Info Center posts new 'FAQs'

The Synod’s Church Information Center has posted seven new items to its online “FAQs” (Frequently Asked Questions), bringing to more than 400 the number of questions answered on the Web site.

The newest FAQs are:

  • What does the LCMS mean by “in, with, and under” the forms of bread and wine?
  • What is the stance of the LCMS on using wheat and gluten-free communion wafers as an option for those with an intolerance to gluten?  (Gluten is a protein found in wheat, rye, barley, and oats.)
  • What are the verses of the Bible that confirm that Jesus is God?
  • When did the church prohibit the early Jewish tradition of allowing more than one wife?
  • What is the LCMS position on pastors performing weddings outside of churches, such as those at a beach or a park?
  • What happens when we die?
  • What is “centering prayer”?
