New subscriptions of the devotional magazine Strength for the Day from Concordia Publishing House will receive the first issue free — in any quantity, as long as it’s delivered to one address. For example, if your congregation orders a 60-copy subscription, the first delivery of 60 copies will be delivered at no charge.
Strength for the Day is designed to help readers deal with the issues and emotions of daily life: stress, illness, fatigue, loss, and anxiety. Each issue includes Scripture, hymns, prayers, stories, and meditations — all centered on a common theme.
The devotional can be distributed to members who are hospitalized or homebound, set out at funeral homes for mourners to take home, and donated to counseling centers. Congregations also may personalize each magazine with the church name, location, and worship times.
To order a subscription to Strength for the Day and receive the first issue free, call CPH at 800-325-3040 by Oct. 31.
