The Good Shepherd Institute of Pastoral Theology and Sacred Music at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., has released an 80-minute 
The DVD, which includes Dolby Surround Stereo, may be viewed in four 20-minute segments or as a “play all” video. Designed for pastors and church musicians, the course includes a 32-page teachers guide and reproducible handouts.
The course is taught by:
- Dr. Christopher Boyd Brown, assistant professor of church history at Boston University’s School of Theology.
- Kevin J. Hildebrand, associate kantor, and Dr. Richard C. Resch, kantor and associate professor of pastoral ministry and missions, at Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne.
- Dr. Martin Jean, professor of organ and director of the Institute of Sacred Music at Yale University.
- Dr. Robin Leaver, professor of sacred music at Westminister Choir College in Princeton, N.J.
- Dr. Carl F. Schalk, distinguished professor of music emeritus at Concordia University Chicago, River Forest, Ill.
- Rev. Stephen P. Starke, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church, Bay City, Mich.
- Dr. Daniel Zager, associate dean of the Sibley Music Library and associate professor of musicology at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y.
The DVD features congregational singing in a number of settings, as well as performances by Dr. Martin Jean; the Bach Vesper Choir of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, New York, with Rick Erickson as cantor; and Craig Cramer from the University of Notre Dame.
