Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, will host its fall 2008 Lay Bible Institute from 7 to 9 p.m. on consecutive Wednesday evenings — Oct. 8, 15, 22, and 29 — on its campus.
The institute topic, “Two Kingdoms — But Only One King: New Testament Lessons for the Christian Citizen,” will be presented by Dr. Jeffrey Oschwald, associate professor of exegetical theology at the seminary.
The institute, designed for laypeople, will encourage participants to think about their role as Christian citizens by addressing questions such as:
Participants will look at the Gospels, Acts, the letters of Paul, Revelation, and other Scriptural sources in an effort to “let the New Testament teach people how to live in two kingdoms under one King,” according to a seminary news release.
