Rev. Timothy Puls will begin serving July 1 as assistant vice president of church relations for Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind.

In his new position, Puls will foster and strengthen relationships within The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod and the Fort Wayne community, sharing the seminary’s resources and its mission “to form servants in Jesus Christ who teach the faithful, reach the lost, and care for all.”
Puls told Reporter he is “delighted to serve both President Wenthe and Concordia Theological Seminary by strengthening our brotherly relationships within our LCMS. In order that we may better serve each other, our regular and sincere communication with one another is essential and critical. The needs of our church are great at this time, and newer pressures on pastors and congregations beset us.
“As we endeavor to reach the dying world with the Easter message of life in Christ,” Puls added, “we are best when we are in concert with each other. In order to further teach the faithful, reach the lost, and care for all, CTS seeks to remain a vital part of that solution.”
