Lutheran Hour Ministries (LHM), St. Louis, seeks to fill the position of manager, Global Impact Program.  Qualified candidates will be a development professional with a proven track record of fundraising success.  The manager is needed to assist the director of International Ministries in building and managing the International Ministry Partnership program (Global Impact) between LHM and congregations/groups/individuals who wish to impact global outreach.  The primary responsibilities are to identify, cultivate, solicit, close, and maintain relationships with congregations, groups, and individuals who desire to commit to outreach ministry involving LHM’s international ministry centers, supporting those centers with prayer, volunteerism, and financial gifts.  Additionally, the manager identifies major donors within participating congregations and groups for the Ministry Advancement officer responsible for planned and major gifts in the related geographic area.  The manager also works directly with Donor Communications, Ministry Catalyst staff, and Ministry Advancement staff to coordinate and communicate program details.

Qualifications:

  • a four-year college degree.
  • MS-Office skills and great writing skills.
  • leadership experience in team planning with staff and outside vendors.
  • marketing background, high degree of empathy, superior listening skills.
  • familiarity with Christian stewardship, charitable giving.
  • willingness to travel extensively.
  • ability/desire to speak in front of groups.
  • member of the LCMS preferred.
  • commitment to continuing education and training.
  • well organized, with ability to administer programs and plans.

    California-Nevada-Hawaii Church Extension Fund, Livermore, Calif., seeks to fill the position of president.  The Church Extension Fund of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District is a separate sub-corporation of the CNH.

    The president shall:

  • be the chief executive officer of the corporation.
  • be subject to the control of the Board of Directors.
  • work with district president in furthering the mission of the district.
  • be an active member of an LCMS congregation.
  • have at least three years of relevant experience in lending and investment activities involving churches or similar organizations or otherwise demonstrate sufficient knowledge and experience to manage loans, investments, and operation of the CEF.
  • have general supervision, direction, and control of the business and affairs of the corporation, including hiring of staff to carry out the mission of the CEF.
