Convention Proceedings 2010 — the official record of the 64th Regular Convention of the Synod that met July 10-17 in Houston — is online in downloadable PDF format at http://www.lcms.org/proceedings.
In line with Synod Bylaw 3.1.10.1, the printed Proceedings will be mailed by late October by Concordia Publishing House to all LCMS congregations, the 2010 convention’s voting and advisory delegates, and all Synod board and commission members, with “the cost [to] be paid by the Synod.”
The 2010 Convention Proceedings was compiled by the Synod’s Office of the Secretary, Dr. Raymond L. Hartwig. It contains the resolutions “decided by the convention … in their final form,… along with the minutes of the thirteen convention sessions and other related materials and documents,” Hartwig writes in its preface.
Included in the Proceedings with the resolutions and minutes are listings of Synod officers and convention staff, registered delegates and representatives, and convention floor committees; the convention schedule; election results; standing rules; the report of the president; convention Bible studies and sermons; and the acceptance speech delivered by Rev. Matthew Harrison after his election as Synod president. Interspersed throughout the volume are photos shot at the convention.
