LCMS Campus Ministry, in partnership with National Lutheran Student Fellowship, invites college students and campus ministry leaders and volunteers to its annual Campus Mission Confabulation gathering May 28-30 (Memorial Day weekend) in Omaha, Neb.
“It’s this final component — reaching out with the Gospel — that drives our theme for Confabulation 2010: ‘Make Disciples Who Make Disciples,'” Jensen said.
King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha will host the event and provide the worship leadership team.
Plenary speaker will be Dr. Ian Adnams, director of communications for Lutheran Church — Canada.
Topics for student breakout sessions will be “Apologetics,” “Sharing Your Faith,” “Prayer,” “Mission Trips/Community Service,” “Growing LSF” (Lutheran Student Fellowship), and “Mentoring.” Topics for leader/staff breakouts include “Social Networking,” “Funding,” “Growing LSF,” “Peer Ministry Training,” and “Women’s Ministry.”
The program also will include worship, fellowship, and a “discipleship” event in which participants will have the opportunity to practice sharing their faith with Lutheran high-school students in the Omaha area.
Registration is $145 per participant — with a 50 percent discount available to those in groups of five or more members. The registration fee includes all meals and snacks except breakfast, but the conference hotel, Comfort Inn Omaha Southwest, offers a complementary continental breakfast. Deadline for registration is May 1.
